Biographical Info

Quirky and beloved local dive bar open since 1968. Not just a bar, but a unique museum of San Francisco history and oddities/collections which cover the walls and surfaces. Historic “Beat” vibe lives on here. Another staple of Bohemian culture in North Beach, Spec’s has been an enclave that has become a haven for artists through the years. The interior serves as a showcase for Spec’s curated collection of zany artifacts. Walking in here, you’ll think you’re in someone’s garage.
